Breathing Meditation - Kilgallon Consulting
Meditation is a simple process of calming and concentrating the mind. Much research has been done over many years to support the very real health benefits of regular meditation sessions.
Lowered blood pressure, a strengthened immune system and less symptoms of stress have all been identified as results of meditation.
In just 15 minutes of meditation every day you can:
- Have a greater appreciation of life
- Feel less stressed
- Have better quality thinking
- Have a calmer less cluttered mind
- Find renewed energy
You don't need to sit crossed-legged, wear special clothes or engage in weird chanting to meditate. Breathing meditation, as you would expect, concentrates on the breath. Learning meditation breathing techniques doesn't take long and once learnt can become as much of a good habit as cleaning your teeth! If you can sit on a chair and breathe you can meditate. The key is to practise breathing meditation regularly.
Brenda Kilgallon runs lunchtime breathing meditation sessions several times a year in the North East, which really give new meaning to the expression 'having a lunch break'. You can be a complete meditation beginner or have experience of meditating. You will be gently guided through the meditation process by Brenda, who has been meditating for many years.
